NP231 weight

Does anyone have a fairly accurate estimate of the weight of an NP231 transfer case?

If I had to give a good guess, its about 80 lbs, I have removed/replaced mine many times now and its just a little lighter than say a 90lb bag of portland cement.

sure seems like more than 65 pounds when you are on your back, trying to slip it on the transmission while also spinning the yoke to align the splines

Yup....when I got home and put it on a scale it came out to between 65 and 70 pounds.
