NP231 SYE Output Seal?

1997 XJ, NP231 w/ SYE. T-case is leaking and I traced it to the SYE output with UV dye. Is the OE slip yoke seal the same as the SYE seal? I'm not really finding any difference between the two searching online.

It's a Rubicon Express SYE and I shot them an "inquiry", just haven't heard anything yet.

Rock Auto lists the seal for the 1997 NP 231J output shaft as National 710046. The National 3946 is for the NP 242J.

The differences are the shaft size, housing bore and outer diameter.

Could try this ... parts are for A/A kit but should be similar, just compare new to old before install.

The yoke seal and nut will be the same

I've also got a refernce to the stock front output seal being the same dimensions but double lipped ... might be worth a shot.

national seal # 3946 is what I used on my PORC sye kit !!!!!The seal that came with the sye leaked at install!!!!

Disregard my previous post. The numbers I provided were with the stock setup.
