Notch Custom X-Max Slider Questions - or other recommendations

Has anyone actually see or run them? I like that they are stealth, I seriously question the lack of contact with the pinch weld and the limited number of fasteners. I'm curious if they actually work. The price is reasonable.

I'm not doing any tough trailers, just want some rocker protection in case of rocks, trees, etc.

Or should I stick with the typical bolt on style, JCR, Rock Hard, Dirtbound, etc. I would prefer one that doesn't stick out too far (either no tubes or angled tubes), but it seems that almost everyone that offers a bolt in has the tubes on it now.

No weld in/rocker replacements - my Jeep is nearly perfect with only 75K miles and I'm building it for camping/adventuring.

I can't offer an opinion on the Notch Customs units, but there are two things I don't like about my dirtboundoffroad sliders.

The tube sticks out too far and makes it a bit of a jump to not get dirt/mud/road grime on my pant legs.. they do offer a set without the tubes.

The main rail is just a tad short for my liking at 60", which makes shipping cheaper being right at 5' where shipping jumps a lot in price, but it looks like I cut it too short just a bit to me.

Otherwise, it was a fairly easy install, and I didn't have to go to the hardware store or modify any parts. They seem to work well in my light duty use.
