not lookin' good.....

over the last 3 weeks i have had to spend approximately $600-$800 in doctor bills.
last week i had to put a new clutch in 'yael', and as i write, i am getting new syncro's installed in the transmission... i have no earthly idea of how much this is going to cost.
bottom line is- i don't think we're goin' to have the money to come to moab after all. it will cost us another $1,000 to make the trip, and it doesn't look good. i should no tomorrow when i get the bill.

Oh man yet another person I was looking forward to finally meeting and he may not show up. Just to make you feel better Eshel I have spent a few grand in prepping my XJ to make it there. Not to mention all the travel expenses I still have to spend .

Man, I feel your pain. I wish I had a chance to meet you, and many of the good folks here at . Circumstances prohibit it for me...... but as you well know, this is probably the finest group of people around. Maybe I can do it next year.... as well as you and the others that have to miss this event.

I swear....If I ever win the the lottery, I will make sure we can all get together somehow. For me, there is nothing (other than family!) better than spending a day on the trail, and an evening by the camp fire grilling some Tri_tip with good friends..... as all of you are.

You all know - this particular Moab event is gonna be the only one of it's kind! No member should have to miss this event!

I hear ya about the $$$ issue, but seriously consider this as a family gift and charge it! You can pay it off and miss next year's event.
