Picked up a 2004 Grand Cherokee "Special Edition", from a friends mom who didn't want it anymore. Said she stopped driving it because it wouldn't start...... :dunno: and just let it sit under the car cover for a year.
I put a different battery in it and...guess what. It started. It just needs a t-stat and water pump, which I'm replacing this weekend.
132,000mi. Two owners.
PRO's
4.7 V8
Black on Black with tinted rear windows
Always covered and comes with car cover
Has the roll out cargo cover for the rear
It's "Special Edition" so it has the compass and computer thingy up top, it's auto everything, and has a pretty decent stereo
Great original paint (Black metallic flake)
Great interior (Black leather)
Low miles
Starts fast
Runs great
Shifts smooth
Has D44a rear axle
Has tow package
Decent tires with new spare
CON's
Registration expired June 2014, but was placed on non-op.
Headlight housings need to replaced. (fogged)
Rear glass lifters need to be replaced
Some "wood" trim is coming off inside
It's 2wd.
Maybe one or two scratches on the plastic piece over the rockers
Might need shocks. It's a little spongy.
All in all this thing is pretty darn clean for an '04. Maybe a couple hundred for little things and it's lookin pretty new.
I'll say $5,000 OBO.
