trying to help my pops out on his
2000 4runner
ABS
brake pedal would drop to the floor at red lights slowly after being stopped a while.
so we replace the booster/MC
bled the rears
went fine.
bled the fronts,
fluid came out, then nothing. pumped and pumped. nothing
tghe chiltons says "bleed the brakes"
i was wondering if there is any specific way to bleed an ABS system?
as i see it there are a few possibilities:
1. we did not get all of the air out of the MC while bench bleeding
2.the new reman. MC is bad/crappy
3. there is somethign up with the ABS system, somethign isnt opening??
4.something else?
does anyone know what might possibly be wrong?
i dont live close otherwise id be out there rebleeding the master and checking to make sure we get fluid from all the lines to anf from the ABS.
