NGR quick release steering wheel hubs ?

I have 9 inch grant steering wheel that I cut the center out of the stock wheel and welded it into the grant .I went that small to give max leg room...it's pure shyt . It's just to many turns to feel comfortable especially when you are turning the wheel to keep from rolling , So I'm looking to do a more reasonable sized wheel with axquick release hub . Has anyone used the NGR on the 97+ column ? The NGR looks to be the a good low profile fit vs the others that put the wheel way out into the driver . Any brand suggestions welcome .
