If you guessed Goodyear Wrangler M/T Rs, you would be WRONG....well at least partially wrong:

Yup I bought a set of Treadwright's new M/T retreads. the tread looks extremely similar to the Goodyear M/Ts and I got them on the 245/75r16 variety. I did my research and all I heard was good reviews including ZacSquatch here on NAXJA. So againts every body I knew telling me not to because they are retreads and there going to explode the first time I hit the rocks, I ordered them on Sunday 6/30 and they arrived today 7/03.

Right now they seem like pretty normal tires to me but we'll see how they perform. I will update this tomorrow when I get them mounted and balanced as well as after I make decision on how they perform.

I guessed wright! I saw those a while back they looked awesome. Let us know how they work out.

super sweet. I cant even find retreads in canada!

Well apparently there aren't many garages open on the 4th of July so I decided to mount the tires myself. It actually wasn't that bad. I used BBs to mount them so there are no balance issues, I ran the tires all the way up to about 55 and it ran very smooth. I also did a little bit of offroading (nothing major, just a little mud and a hillclimb) and they did well but we'll have to see how they do when I do some actual wheeling. On road the ran smooth but you can definitely hear them. They have a nice higher pitched hum but nothing that can't be tuned out by the radio. As for the BBs you can hear them rolling around up until about 20 MPH but then they quiet down. Then they are quiet until I stop then you can hear them fall to the bottom of the tire. its kinda cool.

On to the pictures:

That is all for now.

Lookin' good.

They were $75 each plus $89 shipping so $389. The front driver tire was low due to an air chuck being shot into a black hole. Its now at full pressure, but thanks though.

On a side note. The website states that if the tires are aired down that it will void the warranty but it also states that JP magazine did a review of the tires and that they aired down with out an issue.

Chris

make sure you keep 'em aired up on the streets and you'll prolly not have any problems-- the heat from the friction on the street is what will kill a retread quickest! If you don't have any already, it's a heck of an excuse to set up some on board air!!!!

I was actually thinkin about convering my AC to OBA since it doesn't work anyways. I have been kinda hesitant about doing it because I didn't know if I was going to Air down with these tires but now I'm thinking I might.

The reason they don't have any balance issues is just that treadwright is so damn good at what they do. When i got mine mounted they didn't even have to weight one of them to balance out. I do want a set of those though but they don't make them in a 30
