The Talon series winches have the brake in the end, vs. internal to the drum as is the case even with Warn...which is a major benefit, eliminating the concern for synthetic-rope damage from heat, especially in power-out mode.
And...since a fair percentage of max-pull rating is lost as the line goes to second, and third, layers, it's great to have the extra power of the 12.5K...yet, at a like-size, and almost identical weight, to the 9.5K...!
Does not include a fairlead, but I will include a new Superwinch neoprene cover.
