lol yep - surprisingly lately its been staying open on its own, just habit now. I know the day I stop putting the brace up there the door will flop down on my head.

i would really like to get my spare out of the rear cargo area, but i was thinking i would somehow learn to weld, get the free time to weld something, and have a place to weld... ...clearly im crazy... ...but i wanted to make my own swing out tire carrier.

anyhow, these days it seems more and more likely that i will buy one.
since my rig is the only vehicle i own, and does lots of daily driving duties, i would want to make sure that my vision isnt cut out in the rear too much.

how is it? do you take her on the freeway much?
i am sure someone could snap a pic looking back from the drivers seat, or a pic of their rear view from the drivers seat, but honestly, i dont think it would really convey much to me.

i really need to just get in someones rig with a swing out...

..i know it would vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but a general idea would be good enough for me..

sounds like i had better make it out to the next lil meet n greet situation.
