Hi. The ultimate in alliteration and speaking with speed, all while having our pants down to our ankles to take a piss at a urinal...another god damned Hoosier.

Blame FlexdHJ, I mean, FlexdXJ for my being here. I live 'round his corner. Or does he live 'round mine? Philosoraptor would even have to think about that.

Traded a '97 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT for a '94 Jeep Cherokee. It's red, has the optional "Draft Inducer" mod in the front passenger door (6" deep hole, TWSS), and a kickin' Dale Earnhardt seat cover (burn date TBD).

I don't have a picture of that. I do however, have some of my toy:

That's about all I got.

Nothing like a big parking lot to chase cones in!

Welcome :D

Ooh, some kin. SCCA solo? :D The site closest to me is more of a paperclip than a parking lot. It forces you to learn how to slalom and BE SMOOTH and not jerky around them. Also, I have had an expedition or three into the corn/soybeans.

My bacon press sees some action every now and then. More for sausage patties but, my pork fetish will never quit. Fear not! I had bacon on my burger last night.

Midwest Council. The Madison Sports Car Club mainly uses ovals (you have to get creative), but sometimes we get to go have some flat fun. That pix was taken at a go-cart track. I think the entire track took up an acre ;) On the 23rd we had an event at Miller Park. 15 acres to set up pits, staging, and another 15 to set up a course. We were all very spoiled at the end of the day :D

Yeah we're blessed with a sweet ass abandoned airstrip as our AutoX track. Seen/rode in some sweet cars out there including the STi.....which may have knocked my right shoulder out of then back into socket on that run! :D

Well.....back in the day.

I ran Solo II with my CSP Escort GT, got my butt kicked by the CRX's, but had fun.

Funny thing is....I got into the Jeep because I thought that Solo II was expensive.

Flex, we had access to some awesme lots in the early 90's. The Dane County Coliseum rented us a lot at 300/day, and UW's Lot 60 by the UW Hospital was available free of charge. The Coliseum got new management and wanted to rent us the lot for the price of $3.50 X the number of parking spaces we were using up (over $3,500). The UW kicked us off Lot 60. So the Club had to go begging to the Speedways. They've been pretty nice to us, and we use every single paved surface :D

Rev, Man, did you make the wrong financial decission :D Jeeps are way more expensive! I tried a CRXsi a couple of years back. I loved the car on the street (mileage, manuverability, power), but all in all, the car was about 1" too short for me (helmet). The built in wheel hop combined with the tech built into the new cars in the same class worked to put me solid in the middle of the class each outing.

I think that all things being equal, that it's going to be harder and harder to run old iron (or aluminum/plastic as the case may be) against the cars of the last couple of years and stay competitive.
