hey guys, im new to the board.
my name's nick reuter, im from southeastern virginia down by newport news. i have a 93 ZJ and just picked up my second jeep, an 87 XJ. the ZJ is a daily driver, pretty much stock. i was gonna build her up but id like to have one stock daily driver, you know?
i also have a 95 Z28 that im in the middle of building. she's pretty much a track car, got a real bad cam in her and it wouldnt take too kindly to me parading her around town all the time. im in the middle of finishing installing my new heads, should be done within a week or so. im takin my time.
i picked up the XJ for an astounding $120
it needs a new motor. the motor has bout zero compression, but it has a brand new clutch and locally rebuilt transmission. also includes a viper alarm system and the interior is niiiiice. it's a 5 speed, stock. im plannin on having it as just somethin to play on trails with and take it surfing down in NC. i looked into a budget 4" lift on another website using some dakota stuff, seems pretty interesting.
im real new to jeeps and am really hoping to learn a lot. thankfully i got another jeep so i can tear her down and take my time with it so i can learn as much as possible. but any references yall can give me to help learn about both XJs and just off-roading in general would really help. i know my way around a street/strip car but dang i dont know too much bout these 4x4s!
see yall around
