This is the only picture that I have of my grandfather in his uniform.
He was a supply officer stationed at Fort Custer (Kalamazoo, MI) during WWII.
I do not know what Army unit he was assigned to.

In this picture he has a Lieutenant bar; He was promoted to Captain shortly thereafter.

What I need help with identifying the pin on his lapel.
It almost looks like a butterfly.

I've spent hours searching sites for WWII army pins and insignias with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, he was MP.

His primary duty though was being in charge of supplies for the fort.
He did tell me that others in his unit would watch German POWs.

It kind of does look like two pistols, but there's something like the letter M above it. I wonder what that is?

Family members helped.

He was in the 701st Military Police Battalion, company B.

FYI: The 701 is the Army's oldest military police battalion - Activated Feb 1 1941.
