Not for purchase but to make sure I only have to help pay for the damages cause by my daughter. I do want to make it right but the car had previous damage.
My daughter is away at college and was driving a friends car.
So she slides off the road and hits "something". She said the damage was mostly to the bottom of the car. She did not realize she had hit anything until it was stuck.
The bumper is broke and the radiator is leaking plus other stuff.
The car had previous damage and the hood did not open/close correctly.
They send a estimate for about $3000. It includes fixing what I understand was previous damage including repairing and repainting the hood.
The Kelly Blue book is fair 4000 - good 4700.
The previous damage make me think fair would be the correct value.
I'm hoping a carfax or other report will identify previous accidents.
