We've spent a lot of time out at URE, we can do the moderate trails and dicky bell but not Daniel or Dutch John.

Dickey Bell is really our favorite trail for difficulty level.

Any suggestions on places that we should visit next that we would find some fun trails around the moderate URE to Dickey Bell difficulty level?

First thing, what is it that you are wheeling? Vehicle/tire size/gears, etc.
Is it an daily driver and your only vehicle?

You mention some trails at Uwharrie you can do and some you haven't/can't. Do you want to do something like Daniel? Are you interested in modifying your vehicle to make it capable of more difficult terrain? Are you worried about body damage?

All of these things would influence what places might be suggested in the local (few hours away) area.

I drive a 2000 XJ on 3.5" lift and 31" tires. I do have a front locker but I couldn't get very far on Daniel from lack of traction. Most of the group I drive with don't have lockers at all. Lift wise though they make it. We do get a little body damage occasionally but try to avoid it. Not a daily driver but it needs to take us home from the trail. None of us trailer.

So something more inline with Dickey Bell, Slab Pile, sawmill, rocky mount loop is our level right now. We don't mind driving 4-6 hours one way for something that would give us a day or two of trails to ride like that for something new to do.

Callalantee in Mountain City TN. It's 3.5-4 hours from Raleigh. I did all the trails in the snow with 3.5", bald 31" ATs, open/open. All the tough obstacles have detours. Not to say it wasn't challenging though. Good scenery as well.

Keith good to see you back on here! I'll be at URE this Saturday hopefully. If you wnat to run Daniel it can be done with your seet up. I would highly suggest rock rails min. with a tcase skid. CAllantee is nice too but go with someone that has been there. Their map when I went was ok but the one I got form Chris (UNCCCivleengerre,sp?) was much better. Durhamtown Plantation I have heard is fun and sounds like what you may be looking for.
