MSR H4 houseings

anyone ever use these for an HID conversion

i've been looking into it and saw these and i know alot of newer cars use them but are they worth it for our jeeps?

for those of you who don't know these are MSR (mulit-surface reflector) houseings there a little different then your regular h4 houseings

Crapola. Wouldn't even use them with a H4 halogen bulb. They may be better than stock, but there are much better H4 housings out there (IPF, Cibie, Hella, etc.)

i had no intentions of useing those garbage bulbs i am doing an HID conversion but i need houseings in order to do so and i just wnated some second opinions on these ones, not the bulbs.

I doubt there's anything wrong with those housings...except for their price

Autopals would be just as good... for allot less.
And if you're going to spend 90bucks on headlights than why not buy Hellas instead.

Dude spend 43 dollars for some Autopals on Ebay! They are nice and have the euro beam pattern!

I have been looking into this as well. Ill end up going with the autopals when i have a little xtra cash.

No, I have Cibies. I have tried a pair of them, and while better than stock I wouldn't call them good.

yeah i think i'll just end up going with something else but i've heard on here a couple people haveing trouble with autopals not fitting right or am i mistaken about that? idk

Did I ever say anything about autopals other than that one person had fitment issues? You want my recommendation on what to get? Go IPF or Cibie.

But Autopal is still better than the ones you posted.

 

[Fastdemise]

I have autopals and enjoy them very much(I've done the harness upgrade). For my 01 XJ when I attach the brace holding the headlight in place it does shake around alot. I just grabbed some double-sided adhessive foam and cut thin strips to put on the top and bottom of the brace and they fit great now with no free movement. Also I hope you also mean to do a harness upgrade if you haven't already.
