MPFI or TBI and DIY for AMC 258 stroker???

As my other post indicates I have a 74 Scout II with the AMC 258. I'm saving up some money and will probably get the 4.6 stroker at the end of the year. Currently I am running a 32/36 weber and eventually (when I get the new engine) I would like to change out the intake and exhaust manifolds to something more modern. Plus I would like to go with something more robust over the carb - sick of adjusting, leaking, tuning, etc.

Anyways, because of the intake rails on the I6, and fuel issues associated with it, I was told TB may not be the way to go, and actually MPFI would be better.

Given this, does anyone have a write up for a DIY MPFI conversion for a AMC 258 (stock or stroked)? Any help on this would be great as I can start putting things together before the bih purchase. Thanks again!

stock chero is MPFI AKA multi port FI ....................TBI is throttle body FI and great for making torque either or would be great but me personally id stick with some thing cheap redily available and well supported.....cherokee EFI

So you are saying to go with TBI? Not sure I understand you completely. Also, depending on what you were suggesting, do you have a write up and what components to get, etc.? Thanks!

MPFI is definitely better. For what you are doing. I would recommend going with Renix-era FI setup (87-90 cherokee) SO, maybe find a wrecked or low priced cherokee and take everything you need.
