94 XJ AW4 going into 88 MJ (previously BA 10). New to me 23 spline 1993 231J T/C.
I have the shifter, plate, cables set and ready (need a bracket from the JY.
OK, I've stabbed and bolted up the tranny (first try) and now have questions about the electrics.
1.) The BA10 had a simple reverse light switch and connector with 4 wires. The NSS on the new tranny has the 6 plug connector with 6 wires. Where does the 6 wire connector plug in...will I have to splice it in somewhere or is there a plug I'm not seeing?
2.) The main wiring connector is a 7 pin connector, does that connect to the TCU? ECM?
3.) Running down the driver side of the tranny is a small harness with a two prong male connector on it. On the new T/C is a female two prong plug. Do these go together?? Is this for the Part Time light or???
4.) I've never worked on any Jeep but a RENIX and I know the vacuum system well...so now, I will lock over the front axle. Does the T/C activate electronically or just via the linkage.
I really appreciate the help guys. I have all the hardware in place...just need some guidance.
Thanks
