Mechanic in Greensboro/Burlington/Raleigh

I live in Charlotte and looking to buy an XJ. I seem to have found more in the Raleigh area though and not sure I can talk my mechanic into spending the day in the car with me.
Does anyone have recommendations on a mechanic? I'm currently looking at one in Burlington and was going to use a dealership but not sure about that for 2 reasons - cost and aftermarket knowledge. (This one already has a 3" RC lift.)

Don't know any mechanics up that way off hand, but if you were to drive one/some and post up your thoughts and concerns, i'm sure we could steer you in the right direction
