Went to this a few weekends ago, fianally got the pics off the camera. It was about 15 degrees outside with a 30 mph winds so chilly a bit.

This is a farm with a bazillion maple trees. They harvest a lot of sap and make the best syrurp you will ever eat. It comes from the tree to the pot to the pancake during the festival and almost as fresh all year 'round.

Pancakes are maybe my favorite meal so I get my money's worth...

This Native American was demonstrating how his elders turned sap into maple syrup. He carved this reservoir into a trunk, poured the sap into it, and placed hot rocks heated in a fire into it, boiling the sap and making syrup. Pretty neat.

Looks like a great festival Adam. Our county has a Maple Syrup Festival too, but it looks as though that festival has a lot more to offer.

Your little girl sure has grow up ... she's a cutie ... looks like her Momma.

I know the local FFA's are tapping trees, give you back a portion and sell the rest to rasie money for their chapters.
