Hey ... 2 of my windows are getting hard to roll up or down. It kind of feels like something in there needs to be cleaned and lubed.

I've never gotten into a regulator before. Any writeups or advice before I go into it?

Thanks.

When you pull the door panel and water barrier, put that aside and spend some few minutes just watching the mechanism work. Roll it up, down, up, down....until you figure it out.

Like scorpion said it's pretty self explanatory once you open up the panel. Take a toothbrush and some cleaner and scrub out the tracks. I like to use white lithium grease in a spray can to lube things up. I also lube all the way up the track (using the little red straw and MODERATION!) to the top of the door. Make sure your regulators not bent or bowed. That will make things hard as well.

Many times the rubber channels that the windows ride up and down can be lubed with silicone spray. Put the window down. Spray the vertical runners with silicone spray. Then, stick the nozzle of the silicone spray can down in the channel where the window is now and give each one a 5 second burst. Run the windows up and down a few times after that. Should be greatly improved. Try this before tearing into the door panel.
