Made my reservations in Moab.

I made my reservations at Moab for the 19/20/21. I am bringing the "whitehouse" tent as Jeff named it. If anybody needs a place to put a sleeping bag, that thing will hold 4 easy.

Hope to see some of the rest of the Colorado crowd out there. The wife is staying home so if someone wants to ride shotgun, speak up.

hmmm, this is really tempting... i desperately need new rubber for my XJ before some 4-LO action though. if i can swing this (new tires) by then i may take you up on your offer. was hoping to get out there one last time w/ both the jeep and the bike this fall.

jeff, do you guys have an intinerary as to what trails you're running when?

later.

Your always welcome.

I'm interested in everybodys plans on what they want to run. Chip and I will be there early AM on Thursday. We may go ahead and hit a trail before the rest of the gang gets there. Anybody recommend a half day trial?

We're heading out at 5:00 am on Thursday and should arrive in Moab 12:00- 1:00 with a couple of others arriving around dinner time.Dont really have any set trails to run. We're kind of thinking easier to moderate trails so we can enjoy the trip and not worry about breakage. If Matt and Led cant make it we're relying on Tom as far as trail leader/guide (if you dont mind, Tom :D) as the rest of us dont really know our way around (Justin and I have been there once, the others going with us have never been).I would like to do at least one long day loop if possible other than that its open to suggestions.Terry you should join us if you can.I do want to do Hell's Revenge again.

Define easy trails. Moab Rim, Golden Spike, Cliffhanger or are you talking easier yet.

Something along those lines- need to have a little bit of a challenge. We'll have a stock, cummins-powered, fullsize blazer on 33s along for the trip so we need to take that into consideration. The only trails Justin (well built diesel Scout on 37s) and I have done are Pritchett, Kane Creek, and Hell's Revenge so any other trails will be new to us.

I'm thinking about Posion Spider for the first run on Thurs when you guys get there. I have never run it before but Chip has and it is a moderate run that can be done in 2-3 hours.

I'm thinking about Moab Rim that morning if I can talk Chip into it. Chip does not like ledges and I like to hang my toes over and look down. I keep forgetting that most sane people have a respect for heights.

Gemini Bridges and Chicken Corners can be run in a few hours and are mild to moderate trails. Gemini Bridges looks very scenic.

Man, I wish I was going with you guys. A nice, low-key trip sounds awesome right about now. I know so many of those trails and with so many of you guys having never been there, I'd have a blast being a trail guide.

I need an attitude adjustment in the worst way. Found out I'm being transferred to the Jail in January - no, I didn't get demoted or punished, it's just part of the job. All Sgt's get rotated to another division after 3 years. I'm not looking forward to it, but there's worse assignments.

But I digress...... You guys have a blast! Hope the weather cooperates for ya. If anyone breaks and needs a tow, holler at me - Truck and trailer will be just sittin' around. I'll PM Tom and Jeff with my contact info.

thanks... can you PM me where you'll be staying and what your jeep (and tent) looks like these days. ;)

this will likely be a last-minute decision for me, depending on whether: A) i get new tires, B) i can persuade my wife to let me skip town for a couple of nights.

wish me luck...

cheers.
