as it says...which should i go with...the xj is okay in the mud...not crawling in the rocks...just some mud...and snow (thing is god awfull in 2wd w/ snow)

looking to do it right...will get hte rear shimmed profesionsally if i go detroit (full assembly gear driven)

i would go with a stock posi and be happy...but they are hard to find.

aqnd hte lunch box seems the easiest...but how good are they?

thanks

"Looking to do it right" would be to swap it out with a better axle.

x2 on what Haleyes said. I'd find a D44 with 3.07s and factory LSD if you want to keep the same gearing. It'd be much less expensive than paying for a locker + install too.

(Look in the NAC classifieds; mgfabpd has a D44 with 3.07s for sale; don't know if it has an LSD).

perhaps i should state that i paid $100 for this jeep (needed a clutch, 4.0, 5spd)

and it's not my DD...more of a beater (have a 02 maxima)

just looking to keep it a "cheep jeep", how can you tell a 44 from a 35?...i know where there are a few xj's at a pick and pull

Not a DD, even more of a reason to ditch the D35......

I'm feeling grumpy tonight........sorry.

See my avatar.
