Just got back from Slidell Louisiana last week. It is located right across lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans. My church adopted another church from Slidell and we have been down there doing house guting and tree cuting. Thought some of you might be interested in seeing some first hand pics of our trip.

The 0 at the bottom of the orange X on the houses told how many dead were inside. My freinds dad is a fire chief and he was in NO a couple weeks ago and a building had a 50 on it..........

This trip made me realize how bad it really was. The News cant do that. Seeing it in person really made me realize how blessed I am. These people were left with nothing. So next time you complain about you xj falling apart just think, at least you have one. I have more pics if anyone is interested.

On a happier note, here are some pics of some fun we had while we were there. Figure out how we did this! First one to get it right wins the satisfaction of knowing they beat eveyrone else! Thats got to be worth something around here?

Cool. I went through Slidell today on my way back from Biluxi to the shelter I am living in at LaPlace.

My pics are slowly uploading right now. Thanks for posting yours.

You are correct, seeing it first hand is amazing. It is hard to really fathom the destruction frompics and video. More so past the Military checkpoints and the complete devastation.
