i recently got my 01 XJ from south florida to la la paz bolivia its a 3.0L (chinese version its a diesel ) automatic w/ 200whp

heres the problem ever since ive been driving it here in la paz Bolivia which is 12000 ft above sea level i have seen the performance on my XJ go down

what would be the best way to regain the performance and power

At 12000ft the air is 35% thinner than it is at sea level so you'll have 65% of the HP you would otherwise have at sea level. If it's a turbo diesel, the easiest thing you could do is increase the boost (chip tune).

Thats probably the best way to go. Its a turbo diesel already, so just give it more boost to raise the intake manifold pressure.

So let me see if I got this right. You somehow got a Chinese XJ licensed in Florida. Said XJ has a 3.0 diesel with 200 horsepower to the wheels.

And now, you want it to run the same at 12000 feet as at sea level.
