im in the same boat as i dont have much money and want to mod the xj. does anyone have any ideas for minor changes that are even just cosmetic or interior creature comforts that are cheap?

i was thinking about getting some cheap driving lights to put on the front bumper from autozone. anyone use cheap driving lights and have an opinion? im talking about the ones with the covers that say "baja" or something comparable

I have a pair of those exact lights you are talking about. Def worth the 26 bucks for em. The nuts and bolts are really low grade so they rust rather easily here in Indy. But overall they really help with offroad lighting.

I would get tow hooks at least a rear tow hook. Get a small budget boost while your at it. Check the local for sale stuff for better tires. Then get ready to stop spending money and like it till your out of school.

save up til you have like 750 or 1000. then go at it. u should get some kind of lift, some armor, some tow points. good tires. overhaul your jeep so its safe. cut some sheetmetal. and but a naxja membership. (i know i know...i havent done it yet, but its coming soon.)
