Just throwing this out there for the NAXJA guys. Myself and a few others from the ExPo are going to meet up tomorrow morning for a jaunt into some Northern Georgia trails for a nice day ride. We are meeting a member(s) from the Ga Trail Riders, and he will be leading the way. They did this run a week or so ago, and it looked like a good time. Its got a few good (legal) water crossings/river fordings, and a few other little items. Nothing hardcore at all, but its supposed to be nice weather up there.

Those of us from this area (Atlanta etc) are meeting at the Waffle house in Dahlonega at 7:45am, then are going to caravan after breakfast up to the top of Lake Burton to meet the rest of the folks to start the trails.

Here is a map of our basic route for the meetup, "A" is the Waffle House, and "B" is the final meeting point. You can decide which is closer for you.

Here is the thread on ExPo.

Sounds fun, I'd like to go but I already have made plans with my help to finish building my fence tomorrow. My dog will be pissed if I don't do it.

Post up next time you make a run up there.

No prob. We have a big camp weekend (Country Fried Weekend II) in a couple weeks up there, I will post about it soon.

Anyone else?

We had a good run yesterday, we actually had 11 rigs, which was great turn out. it was a fairly easy day of riding on some FS roads, couple creek and river runs, and a decent little hill climb. We also found this REALLY cool bald at the top of a mountain at about 4000 feet in altitude. Its got a GREAT camping area, and is an awesome/challenging trail to get up to it.

Anyway, here are a few pics and a couple videos. None of which are mine, I forgot my camera, so I am steeling these from the ExPo site.

Me giving it hell to get to the top of this hill. It was pretty darn slick initially. The 4:1 actually wasnt helping since I had trouble gettting the wheel speed up. I need one of those little elctronic shifters to keep it in a specific gear.
