A couple of weeks ago I found a 98 2 door in Hampton Florida that was on Trader On Line. Im in Houston Tx so I didnt get to see it first hand. Ad said it needed a motor. Called about it and was told the Jeep was in GREAT shape but it had over heated and needed a head gasket. I figured even if it needed a head I could still fix it for around $500. So I bought it. The shipping company just dropped it off this morning. WOW! What a disappointment. This thing is ROUGH! Needs a motor and a ton of little things.

I need to find someone here in the Houston area that is parting out a 97 thru 01. I deal with some junkyards at work but they are all nuts when it comes to prices. If you are from around Houston and have one you are parting or know of someone who is please let me know.

I can be reached here or email at stevegillen66@yahoo or call 513-571-2170

Thanks

Steve

P.S. I tried to put this in the wanted ads but it wont let me post. I guess because its been a LONG time since ive posted anything.

best/cheapest thing to do will probably be to find one wrecked with a good motor and buy it.
Use what you need and sell the rest.

Wow all the jeeps here in TX and you bought site unseen from FL?

Keep an eye out here I am sure someone will have a source!

I've got a tailgate/rear hatch (with glass and rear wiper), left taillight, hood, grille and headlights, radiator core support bar, front and rear bumper. Body panels need paint, grille has some repairable cracks. All from '94 XJ. I'm cleaning out the storage, $150 for all of it. Come and get it. (San Antonio). E-mail for pix.

Sorry to hear you got screwed.
