Well, if you like to run in Johnson Valley, or if you've never been there and have been waiting for a chance, this is it. We're going to have a JV run on the weekend of Nov 19-20. There are trails for everyone, from mild to wild, and the desert scenery there is truely unique. There will be both a dinner and a raffle on Saturday night, as well as trails to run both Sat and Sun. Oh, and the camping is free!

So, mark it on your calendar, and watch for more details. Post up if you're interested in coming, so we can get an idea of what to plan for.

Where is Johnson Valley? I live in Canada in summer and winter in Yuma and could possibly make the run. will arrive Yuma before November first.

Is this a family trip or should I leave the wife at home?
We like to wheel together! I'd like to join the festivities. Count me in!

Heard a rumor that the outgoing chapter Pres gets to unstack after the guys on 33's have been thru Sledge...

So... I'll be there. :D

I guess I shouldn't assume that everyone knows where it is. :)

Johnson Valley is about an hour southeast of Barstow on Hwy 247, roughly 40 miles east of Victorville, and 15 miles northwest of Yucca Valley. It is a huge open OHV area, with miles and miles of trails and dirt roads, some sand dunes, and the best hardcore trails in CA.

And yes, this is a family run.

He has to get there, then stay fixed long enough to actually get on the trail, before he can unstack anything.

Oh, I guess I didn't think that he can ride with someone. :looser:

If I can finish some projects (3 link rear and inner/exo cage), accumulate some more spare front shafts, and afford the gas, I'll be there. I have my doubts about the gas though... stupid $3 gas

Teaser.....teaser.......teaser.......teaser.

C'mon, Brett..........JUST DO IT!

Do we need to start talking about taking up a collection, like we did for a certain guy from AZ last year?

:D :D

I'm gonna try!

Making $8/hour makes things kinda tough

bring on the collection!

I'd also be driving down and back with no doors... could be interesting in November, but I have lots of sweatshirts and snowboarding gear :D

Hmmm, I'll have to see if I can fit this one into the schedule. Will be watching this post.

Funny......after the last two years' weather, I couldn't get the wife within 50 miles of there.......unless the Chippendale dancers are coming, too.

Now maybe if Farmermatt got naked..........hmmmm.

I wonder what Mother Nature has in store for this year?? Earthquakes, hurricanes, who knows...........

I'll be there.

You can talk to CRASH about that. He had doors, but no heater hooked up last year......and he had a long, COLD drive home from JV after a freak snow storm last year.

Save your pennies, Brett, this is your chance. Talk is cheap..........

:D

I remember seeing those pics from last year, brrrrr....

My heater works great, but doesn't do much good with air blowing through at 70mph, hopefully I'll get some canvas doors made by then, but I'll make it my last priority.

I'll eat PB&J for the next 2 months, and maybe even drink less beer ( )...

That's awfully close to new-daddy time, I'm very doubtful for this run.

The funny thing is the new heater is STILL not hooked up. Got to cut the cage to get the dash out, and that means I want to improve the cage, which means going through the firewall and tying in the shock and spring mounts.

It's a huge fawking can of worms.

You need to get some JV time in before daddy time!

I've got at least 3 JV runs lined-up before our pre-turkey day run, maybe you can come down in Oct. or early Nov., or tomorrow :) ???
