My buddy got new wheels for his XJ...
I like it!

well... I actually just put wooden blocks in between with some bolts into the drums and rotors...

he he he...

just kidding, we used Spider Traxs

The JK axle is wider. so the Rims have less back spacing.
The adapter kit is 1.25"? I think, so it works out to be about stock, maybe a little further out.

damn that is one mutt of an XJ!

i love it

The JK is also 5x5 bolt pattern, vs. the XJ's 5x4.5.

Do JK wheels have more back spacing? I would have thought with the adaptes they would stick out much farther, but they tuck in nicely

I was thinking and I always get this wrong, but your right "more back spacing"
The distance from the back of the rim to the lug stuff, is further which is more than the xj's

and yes they are 5x5 so the combination of the 5x5 and the more backspaced wheels is why the adapters were needed.

yea, backspacing and offset get people, especially if a catalog does not say what it is they are talking about.

Think of it this way:

If you lay the wheel flat on the ground, backspacing is the difference from the ground to the mounting surface.

Offset is the distance the mounting surface is from the center of the width of the wheel. And is denoted with a plus or minus sign.

-anyway, I have been looking at some JK wheels since they are cheaper, but since they would be for my StreetMJ I did not want them to sick out from the wheelwells at all. So this may be an option.

I sold the red 96 to a friend and he's in love with those wheels, so I'll help him get/recommend those 1.25" adapters.

Those look really good on it. I like the way they tuck under the fenderwell.

i want. i want really bad.
