So we went to the Jeep Ranch in Wildwood. Nice cattle ranch with a few trails, mud, a few rock piles.
I decided to rip my steering box right off the uniframe. Put it into a "hot tub" and apparently the fat ass super long MJ is too big for said hot tub and as soon as she flattened out BAM there went the steering box into the embankment and right off the frame.
We backed her out...stole bolts from 2 other jeeps and put mine back in.
Drove it about 200 yards and heard another snap...one bolt stripped out of the box taking all the threads from that hole with it and then the other bolt broke. (we were only able to use 2).
So now it needs a steering box. yay. Had fun anyway.
It was for YellowXJ's daughter's graduation. Hers is the black XJ.
It is HOT down here BTW.
