Yeah the club is Jville Jeepers but it's pretty dead from what I can tell. I went to 2 of their events but only 5 people or fewer showed up and only one other XJ. Jacksonville is the town around Camp Lejeune. Is about 2 hours from Raleigh, over on the Atlantic coast.

I meet some people at Uwharrie from there in December. I think that is where they were from. Have you checked out NC 4x4? Any chance coming up to the Crawl? RedHeep is in NC but I dont think its that far over there.
Redheep is stationed in Jacksonville.

He told me it's about 8-9 hours from where he's at to the crawl.

Cool, I'll PM him. I'd love to make it to the crawl, especially since I already have the time off, but I'm back in 2wd until Tom Woods fixes my front ds... Again.... And my other XJ is STILL in pieces... That seems to be a very common problem though. One of these days I will actually go somewhere cool though. I think it's realistic to shoot for the flog.

Is your front custom? Or just a TW shaft? you could come up and hang out and ride with someone. I know not as fun but Red will be there and so will several others.

Yeah, it's custom. If I could find another cv joint I could rebuild it, but i'd rather send it in since I think the balance is bad since i keep having to replace my pinion seal. I could throw one on from the junkyard in the mean time, except that I have a 5 speed so it's a weird, hard to find length.

Ok, so you get a auto one for cheap and cut it down. Then you will have a spare. If you get a Saturday and want it done I'll do it but I cannot do it before the Crawl. GL hope you make it there are going to be a lot of folks there it looks like this year. party1:
