:smoker: A couple of cents worth of thought here...I think you should keep your XJ box and just reinforce the mount and add a cross member to reinforce against the opposite framerail. Unless you are planning to totally rebuild the J10 box or find a new one. There are plenty of extra add-ons you could do to your steering so that the stock box can still function well.

In fact, a J10 box may be a downgrade, because the ratio may be slower. Some people think is is better for real crawling, but having accidently swapped a 17:1 MJ box in place of the OEM 14:1 box (which was toast) I can attest that 17:1 is too slow and vague for comfortable driving on pavement.

I figured that the tue upgradse would be a J20 box, but I wanted to make sure. After all you guys have been at this longer than I have...I'll keep my stock box.
