My dad took his 98k mile, 96' 4.0 ZJ Laredo to the dealer to get an oil change (his days of working on cars are over). While there they offered a 40 point inspection, "what have you got to loose, its free", they said. Well when all was said and done they told my dad he needed new front end bushings, new shocks, and a plethora of other things, the total $4000.00. My dad nearly fell over. Just out of curiosity he asked how much time this would take, they told him two days. When he got home he looked under the hood only to take note that they were so busy looking for things to charge him for that they did not even change the oil, which was the original reason he went in there to begin with.

By the way my dad boguht this very pristine ZJ last year for a measly $7000..it was in showroom condition, flawless; that I can tell it still needs nothing.

Also BTW, they robbed him of $200 for a tranny fluid and filter change just a few weeks ago.

Looks like 5-Star Service just means that you get charged as if your Jeep is getting worked on in the lobby of the Plaza Hotel not that you are getting top notch work!!!

Don't let this go without at least writing a letter to the zone office, that kind of crap needs to be reported, at least to give the manufacturer the chance to respond. Unbelieveable. TC

5 star means they find any way possible NOT to do any FREE warranty work. NO, it's fine. All in your imagination. Three miles later your past the warranty period and it's suddenly busted and will cost you a second mortgage.

It was funny the first time Beej, but now you're just acting retarded.
