Everyone OK and roll cage did it's job! I may have burped the bead on front driver .....It lunched into the low embankment flopped then over. Stinger bumper and fender took the hit and roof pushed in to cage. This was at MM near Los Primos. Nothing spectacular I can say on this one. :passgas:

We flipped it tactfully back over and didn't break anymore windows. All doors open and shut and roof can be worked out. Front driver fender in front of coil section is creased and at a glance no real unibody damage...I'll look closer tomorrow.

cool now you can get rid of that stupid Off Camber sticker on your window!

hehe

damn that sucks,

I hope you fixed any underside problems while it was like that, you don't get an opportunity to work on them in that position very often.

i'd say you out did me on this one :)

...hope carnage isn't too bad structurally for ya, and glad everyone is safe.
gotta say, if you do more than "mild" wheeling, a cage is a must...

You guys are funny! Since we take pics in RAW format here is a blown up picture of the driver front the one heading down hill first. 17psi, bead sealant, least tread of all four tires....extra weight of cage (3rd run with it) all 1.75 x .120 DOM.

Opinions please.

TKS!

not really, I have been wheelin pretty aggressively for years and ive been in plenty of scenarios where I would have flipped if I turnd the wrong way or even hit the brakes too hard, but I have never doubted myself and never had a rollover. Ive looked these pictures over and I cant understand how he rolled it, for the tire to have caused this he wouldve had to be booking it. Sucks but it just looks like minor damage, wouldnt have prevented me from throwin the spare on and kickin out the windshield and headin to the next trail after checking fluids. Go big or Get outta the way.

The plan was to remove the windshield and wheel the rest of the day but one buddy I was with was limited on time because of prior commitments.

All I know is I'm pushing the roof out, replacing the windshield, putting on beadlocks, swapping the balder tire out for the spare and going from there......I think it was a combination of things partially my fault I guess but so be it. I built a lot of the protection which saved most of the sheet metal and lives inside so that I am proud of!

It's a big hit on the ego not even having a good freakin story to tell! I got nothin! :( I usually wheel the pee out of it and I really expected the first time I rolled it it would be a little more "spectacular"....Oh well ...Tis what it tis!

Just get some 8" wheels and ditch your 10" wheels. Sure would be a heck of alot cheaper.

Flopping your jeep is never good. But having a cage sure is nice. I hate
my interior cage. My next jeep will have an exo cage. I've ruined too many bodys with just An interior cage

I feel ya, few years back I was planning on getting an exo on my 89 xj, bought seats and 5 point harnesses, always joked about rolling it, I did donuts on a bit of a hill had the front passenger tire off the ground the hole time and didn't flip, 9 inch lift and 35's lol, couldn't flip it without really trying.

I want to keep as much width as possible but your right even with 10" beadlocks the inner bead is more vulnerable than an 8". I'm going to play with backspacing until I get it where I want it.

yeh you will want 8" wheels because once you put the beadlock on the rim then its almost back to 10" from bead to bead... not sure of exact numbers but your moving the bead from the inside lip on the outside of the bead to the inside of the bead to the outside of the wheel...

Good point I hadn't thought of that. TKS!

Has anyone used this TCU mod yet: http://www.montanafab.com/aw4_trany_overide.php

I've read a lot of information on the RaDesign stuff on here but little about this one.
