Ever wonder what people are thinking when they try to sell something. I cam across this on ebay-http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42611&item=2462942931- why talk about the entire jeep when all you are selling is a dang Tail light. I see it all the time you search for danna 44 and you get at least a 100 other listings because someone feels they have top add in "not a dana 44" whyyyyyyyyyyyy.oor they list a 44 and a 9in then at the end of the description they say the 9 in is in another auction. :smsoap: ok I'm done for now

HA- whats worse? how about looking at an entire jeep , reading the listing-and drooling- only to read that final line "you are bidding on the tail light only".
I`d pay ebay to make another section just for "part sheets". I`m so sick of part sheets!

I saw one a few weeks back that killed me- 70s era nova complete. had nice pictures- "you are bidding on the back bumper only".

argh!

I may be a troglodyte, but I've made it 36 years without 'bidding' or 'auctioning' anything from Ebay and I have no plans to start now.

Also whenever I see where folks list something in a "for sale" forum, but provide only a link to their ongoing Ebay huckster deal... I minds-eye view their fingertips being mashed in an arbor press. Stating what one has for sale, a location it'll be shipped from & price is just being courteous IMHO.

I'm pretty new to Ebay and have bid on a few things, getting smarter as I watch some idiots pay well over retail and then have to pay shipping, THAT makes no sense to me. Don't these people look up the prices of items before they bid, sheesh. Did get a bit miffed when I bought a chrome bumper for the YJ that was what I considered a pretty good price of $59, then they added S&H and that was a couple of bucks more than the bumper but still less then buying it locally and having to pay sales tax but it still steamed me =fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me=. I watched one on a USED set of upper doors with slider windows hit $500, quadratec carries the same ones for like $340. Got one in now for a chrome grill overlay and chrome headlight trim [doing some bling bling on the YJ prior to selling it :D ], can get it locally for $99 w/tax, bid $75 max 2 days ago and the bid went from $28 to $72 today so I guess I hit the parts store now. Same with chrome bumperettes [more bling bling :D ], some butt head paid $90+S&H on used ones when quadratec sells them NEW for $39 bucks...As I watch and learn I'm gradually begining to weed out the con-artists that suck you in low 'buy now' prices and then spit you out with the killer high S&H....

Ebay has its good points and bad points. if you have any brains you can make out pretty good by paying atention to things but yes there are a bunch of morons out there that pay way to much for things and ya know what its there loss and some one elses gain.I got shafted early in my ebay useage but now I've learned the ins and outs of it.

i dont have experience with ebay, but have read that it is good for finding things you might want. i think i would like to try it...maybe when i have some cash...lol.
