I see alot of XJ's out there, many on this forum, built to the hilt, but no roll cages. Is there something I don't know about? I have rolled an XJ going 30 miles an hour on road and it wasn't fun. The upper structure of this particular vehicle is very weak. Come on guys start spending money were it counts. I have seen too many XJs with flat roofs at the height of the doors. I will never run any vehicle off-road again without one. Just my observation.

Unfortunatly thats what it will take to get most of us to spend our hard earned cash on a safety item.

XJguy, how's your cage coming along? Is it on the market yet?

S & W race cars makes a XJ cage. I have one in mine. I'd post a pic but I don't know how. I can email you some if you want.

Maybe I am wrong but isn't that just a waste of money. If you put an exo on what good would the internal cage do? It might add just a bit more strength but I am sure that money could be spent on other mods. The strength it would add probably wouldn't be worth the money. Just wonderin.

IMHO, an exo isn't worth a crap unless it has internal reinforcement.

you cannot triangulate an exo form without having something underneath it.

there I just said the same thing twice.

I only have a 3" lift and 31's and I am going to put a cage in mine if my steel would ever get here... I need to place some phone calls.

The only reason I am going to put a cage in mine is because I have come close to rolling it and when I do I want to be able to keep driving it. It's not a size thing but more of a how do you wheel it thing.
