Is a pitman arm necessary???(reply ASAP!!!)

I"m going to be getting the RE 3.5" kit and wanted to know if I should get the drop pitman arm along with it. I"m getting conflicting answers. I have an '89 XJ ltd. Let me know what y'all think (and quickly if you would...i'm buying this tomorrow!)

I dont have the RE 3.5 kit, but i DO have about 4.5" lift installed, and i have been using the stock pitman arm with no(known) problems

im going to guess you shouldbe fine with the stock one.

this might not be the BEST answer....but its a quick one for ya!

no, you will most likely not gonna need it.

You "do not" want to run a drop arm unless you have absolutely no other choice.This would be "extreme lifts(+6")" and having already done a high steer!

I'm at 7"+ of lift, and all I run is a ZJ pitman arm. Not even sure I needed that. :dunno:
