Sounds like the took the same idea as the planetary gear reduction in a tcase and applied it to a socket.

There is no reduction in these sockets. There is a large mass ring fixed as part of the socket. Acts like a flywheel storing energy.
Watched a few videos. They seem to work well. In a day where electric impacts seem to be taking over, these may help them out quite a bit with the 50% more torque that they advertize.

Ahh, I assumed they were similar to the force multiplying breaker bars.
