my 4x4 vacuum lines wont reach the solenoid on the s.y.e., and my speedometer dont work. ideers?

yeah ill probly do that. how bout my speedometer? i screwed it into the new housing but it doesnt read anything

the factory speedo housing thing has 3 or 4 different positions you can install it. try rotating it until you meet some resistance. you'll run into the same problem when you change speedo gears, some of them are different sizes. (just did this on Friday)

so i shouldnt put a crescent wrench on the actual speedometer cable to loosen it or what?

Are you sure the speedo cable is fully engaged? It's easy to install it 1/8" or so out.
