Hey yall the reb is still alive and kicking. Ive been in iraq for the last....10 months er so. Sorry i hadnt been real social been really busy trying to do what i can to come back home in one piece. Also my poor ol Xj isnt in the best of shape, lets see...due to improper asshat recovery job done my myself it no longer has bumpers. That in its self wasnt to bad cause that had given me an excuse to fab some bumpers of my own. Well this was mistake number 1...mistake number 2 was passing the xj to my wife since she had told me how much she loved it and loved to drive it. Well as im sure you can imagine with 300,000 + miles it needed some new gaskets put in it and therefore leaked a lil oil...ok maybe more than a lil..but still no ticks taps smoke or any other complaints from the motor. Well after 2 months of my wife taking over the Xj i get an early morning(6 ish...hey it was saturday) phone call saying she was having trouble and that the engine had over heated and blew a hose. Well the long and the short of it was there was NO oil in the engine at all....she haddent felt like checking the oil after she had been doing it for the past year while i was in iraq the first time. So after generating a whole lot of heat from lack of oil it blew the radiator hose...yes fun fun. So upon starting the engine it sounded like there was a horde of steal workers with ballpein hammers working on the underside of the engine. So after this it was loaded onto a trailer and parked in a field for about 2 weeks till i blew the engine in my chevy (yeah yeah) So with no other choice i dumped some 15w 40 in the ol beast and fired her up expecting to just make it the lil over an hour drive back to the base so i could be at work the next day. This went on for 2 months...knocking and complaining the entire time...but never quit. The engine in the chevy was replaced and the jeep was once again parked where gremlins attacked the computer. So whats next for the ol girl ya might ask....well lets just say i have a '74 3/4ton chevy frame and drive train that needs a body..im thinking cherokee hybrid with 38's or so? So for a while all my attention was turned to modifying my chevy. Not to mention was already busy prepping to redeploy to iraq. And now in a lil over a week i will be comming back home and ETSing from thr army to move back to missouri. Anyway thats a lil update. Thanks to my sis ladywolf for reminding me i still have friends in the NAXJA.

Ps here are a couple links to my cardomain pages one for the Xj and one for the Chevy..let me know what yall think
