I thought wheeling in FL meant VERY large tires and not much flex :)

LR's have incredible flex stock, and with little modification they can flex even better. Droop (how much the tire can travel down) is almost obsurd with some modifications on a LR. Up travel is just limited by wheel well and the tires fitting in them.

The suspension design on LR's stock in very good and allows significant possibilities without doing as much re-design as would be required on a Cherokee. Not that it can not be done, but it would require significant work.

The reason they get away with significant flex with small lifts is they have very large wheel wells that will accomodate the tires they are useing, and as said before they can allow an amazing amount of droop. If you are interested in more LR info start with.
