how to controll turn signal bulbs?

I have a weird question. I got a set of clear corners for the front of my 98 cherokee ltd. I was wondering if you can leave one bulb that stays on with the head lights and one that blinks. is it as simple as wireing them to the head lights? if so what kind of stuff do i have to buy to get this done.

You should be able to do this if you're a little creative. The corner lights as they now stand use a single-filament bulb with a twist-in holder. What you'll need to do, I think, is either to drill out the back of the light and put another single-filament holder in, or procure a holder for a two-filament bulb, like the ones used in the front parking lights. I don't know whether the corner lights have enough depth to hold a conventional two-filament bulb. Be careful not to put too big a bulb too close to the plastic or it will melt. If you use a two filament bulb, make sure that you wire it correctly - the higher-wattage filament, which is the shorter of the two, is used for the signal. The taller, low wattage filament is for the parking/marker lights. You might be better off finding another set of the original style bulb holders that take the little push-in bulbs, because they're smaller and might be easier to fit. This might be an easy and cheap junkyard item. Wire the running lights to the same circuit as the current parking lights, and they should work fine. The wiring is the simple part. Getting the bulbs to fit cleanly in the light without making a mess or breaking it will be your challenge.

well..... ive got two bulbs in each clear corner. the object is to get one of the bulbs to work with my head lights. can i trace one from each corner to the flasher? then wire it to the head lights. And the key word in this is "clear corners" this is not for function. i dont want to melt, drill or blow up my new clear corners. i just want the apperance of one light in the lens to blink, while the other stays on. thank you for the response.

I misread your first post, and didn't see that it's for a 98. I'm only familiar with the corner lights from the 84-96 type. If you have two bulbs, you're all set, I think. I'd wire one to the parking lights, not the headlights, if you want it on with both high and low beams. The signal circuit should already be there from the stock setup. If not, I'd splice the flashing light into the harness. You should be able to tap into front panel wiring harness right near the big connector that lives down under the air box, where there will be a left flash, right flash and parking light circuit along with the two headlight lines (assuming they didn't also change that in 97).
