I was referring to the hard trail part. It seems like anything like carnage bv (pictured) is tabboo for all but a few, where as a few years ago there was a great group like that.
I feel you man. I'd totally love to go hit up BV Carnage and I've yet to make it down to Penrose despite building my 92 XJ specifically to run them based off what I was reading about it.
I know my rig is on paper a Carnage capable rig, fact is though that for me its not. Its too likely to break or be damaged beyond what I can fix and I can't afford to that happening. A few years ago I would've totally said F* it and gone down there to run the trail. Now, I'd rather wait until I'm comfortable with thoughts of my rig not only completing the trail but of being able to get me back home and wheeling the next weekend.
I would run em... But I think my jeep wouldn't like em very much. One day though... Guaranteed. Now that my motor swap is almost done just gotta finish a front bumper and I'm ready to run Penrose again.
See, you should've left things alone. You had a perfectly good running rig that was plenty capable and you had to get all googly eyed over 1" of tire height.
