Hot Springs March 15th-16th

That the weekend they have it closed just for them?

This is from the ORV park site....

"Everyone is welcome at the park during events!
Some events require special use of the park, however, and may cause certain parts of the park (or in rare instances, the entire park) to be closed. We have taken extra care to clearly label these special events here. Rest assured that if a checkmark is next to an event, the entire park will remain open to the public."

Talked to one of the Rover guys (we work at the same shop), he said maybe 35-40 Rovers will show up (some coming from Texas as well) so if you know any one that wheels a Rover get together with them and make the trip. I know and wheel with some of the Rover guys (a good group and good friends as well). There will be plenty of room at HS for all of us to wheel.

If you're coming then it would be a good idea to make reservations if camping or staying at a hotel/motel nearby (the Rover guys use the VeldaRose hotel with a price break).

I know I read somewhere involving rovers and a closed park.

Well that's settled then.

Let's start planning.

Do we want to have a cookout Saturday night? Who is bringing what? Who can bring what?

We'll need a decent table, everyone to bring chairs. To reserve camping sites etc. Or are we "camping" at the knights inn?

Something else to consider. What size is everyones rig? We will probably have 2 groups, one for lvl 2's and 3's and one for level 3-5. I'll start a Hot springs roll call thread, Post up there with rig size if you are going.

I'll bring a lantern and dual-burner stove.

Well, if my wife tags along, I'll be camping at the Knights Inn. Something tells she will NOT want to sleep on the ground when she's 7 months pregnant. ;) Otherwise, we'll grab a campsite.

Good idea. Also, I'll see if I can get our resident graphic designer to throw together a special edition limited-time only inaugural run T-Shirt and maybe we can raffle off a few of them at the event.
