hood latches?

anybody ever tried to put tj hood latches or anything of that nature on their xj hood? i broke my release in the cab and then it just went downhill from there. so now i use bungee cords. so needless to say driving down the highway is kinda sketchy.

TJ style latches wouldn't work well with the design of the XJ hood, but there are other brands out there that will do the job. I've seen some where you basically drill a hole through the hood and have a round bolt sticking up that you can use a nut on or a cotter pin or whatever to keep it all down.
