Any ideas of things to do. WE don't have much time because Alexis doesnt have vacation time yet. We are going to leave on Thursday 8/16 and come home monday 8/20. We are driving my step dad's dirtymax with my heep on the trailer.

Here's my plan

leave early thursday, head to taqhuemanon falls, find somewhere to camp or stay in a hotel.

Friday head to drummond Island and soend sometime there, maybe do some skeet shooting at drummond island resort, and stay at the boat house at the resort.

Saturday we are waking up early at wheeling turtle ridge until we see everything or break!! (probably the latter)

After that i dont know what to do.

Is there more to do on drummond or should we head back to the mainland and find something to do????

Budget really doesn't matter, I am sure nothing will be to overly expensive.

We DO NOT want to go to mackinaw island, it smells like horse shit and everything is twice as much as what it should be.

k "only doing this once" man

LOL! Hey, sometimes it's just as useful to know what you don't want as what you do want! Sorry I couldn't give you any ideas, I've never been to Drummond Island.

Also the coolest place I found to stay on drummond was the Boathouse at Drummond Island Resort, any better ideas on the island?

It's nice. The place we stayed in no longer listed on the site, so I guess you cannot stay there anymore. They were just building the Beaver Pond cabins when we were there.

It will take you a full day to explore.

Wow!! Now that's something to see!

X2 I was going to mention this also. Pretty cool place. Would be a good place to go after the falls being it is not to far. If you go to the falls and want to head towards the ship wreck museum. Think about staying in Paradise MI it is half way between the two and a good place to leave from to hit up drummond. Couple places to stay...try some of the cooler older 50's style cottages. Also a couple good bars in town.....well thats what i have been told :)

It's your honeymoon and you want to go outside?:gag:

Who knows, Tom? Maybe they're exhibitionists? :D

Tahquamenon Falls are enjoyable, beware the black flies (bloodthirsty little beggars.) I've always enjoyed watching the freighters at the locks in Sault St. Marie. Always a lot of enjoyable shoreline. The Seney wildlife refuge used to be a good time, but I haven't gone through there in over 30 years.
