high idle chevy 305

hi im having trouble with my 77 novas 305. i have a really high idle in park but when in drive it idles fine. ive replaced the carb and tuned it. i set my distributor timing at +6* as fsm states. i go to fire it up and still has a high idle with a changed distributor timing of +12*. any suggestions? thanks

I was waiting for someone to chime in, but to me it sounds a bit lean. Vacuum line or intake leak? Maybe spray some carb cleaner or something around to see if you can find it. Strange that the idle is steady in drive though.
