Hi guys,

I'm new here, but have been haunting the forums for a while, checking out all of the knowledge that has been posted throughout the years... Just thought I'd introduce myself!

I just finished college so now that I have all of this free time, I can spend it wheeling my Jeep

Thanks guys! Dood, I would take you up on that Garrett but I am going overseas next Tuesday and the exchange rate sucks! I am looking to take a bunch of Occotillo trips this season and looking for people to camp with...

How is Big Bear? I heard it's pretty fun but you have to watch out for hikers?

Right on man, thanks for the warm welcome! If I end up making a Thanksgiving trip, I'll be sure to head your way!

Yeah, forest wheeling always looked like fun, Big Bear is a beautiful place... I have been snowboarding there for years but never took a Jeep out there. I'll bet it's a blast!

welcome to the site, the socal chapter is one of the most active on NAXJA and there are lots of good honest helpful folks in your area.

 see you in the dirt!

Indeed sir, thanks!

I'm looking forward to learning more about my rig through this forum, and maybe making some wheeling buddies!

Alright, here it goes...

2000 4dr
4.5 RC long arm kit
285/70/16 Nitto Trails
8.25/LP D30 axles. Stock...
Currie Currectlynk [SP?] steering
Rustys Steering box brace
Rustys craptastic steering stabilizer

Looking to do the Taurus fan conversion soon, just picked one up from the local boneyard. Trying to figure out how I'm going to go about mounting it. I've seen a couple of pretty cool writeups. Just a matter of copycatting someone's setup that worked well or figuring out something out for myself.

That's it for now!

Still trying to figure out what my ultimate goals for the rig are, but so far so good.

BTW, I don't know how many other people are running a RC longarm kit (I'm pretty happy with it for the most part) but how are your guys rear spring packs? Mine are too short. I have a vertical shackle angle and it rides like poo-poo.

Here she is...

Don't mind the badge on the fairing. I'm not a cop, I kept that on there to get me out of tickets :greensmok

haha nothing wrong with being a cop around here, our chapter president is an officer :D Nice looking jeep, is that truckhaven in the first pic?

Thanks man! That's Ocotillo Wells. Me and a couple of buddies always camp next to this little cliff and I thought I'd give it a whirl. I couldn't quite get up it, but I'm open front and rear, and didn't want to air down because I was riding dirtbikes all weekend.

Hope I didn't sound like I was sipping on haterade there, I gots no problems with ossifers

no not at all, i just wanted to mention that it's all good we've got everything from drunken jackasses (me) to proper upstanding citizens around here, lol. again, welcome :D

Thanks AzXJ!

Bought it bone stock from a couple of ladies from the SDSU area, and got a folder full of maintenance records for it, dating back to 2003. Paid a little extra for the rig but I have been very happy with it. Seems clean XJ's are becoming really rare these days...

cant complain!

You should go to the meet and greet in Vista on the 2nd. Starts at 6, goes to maybe 8ish. details are usually posted a day or two before.
