Figured he'd like a hard top to go with that convertible. And Ghias are cooler than Super Beetles. Not by much, but if ya gotta cruise around in a go-cart with a funny shaped body on it, it should be a Ghia.

Like I said; "rebuild from the the lug nuts up" everything needs to be touched, JohnJohn appears to be SO busy he doesn't have time for another project, let alone stopping by and posting in a thread calling him out.

During my last days at Pfizzer/Pharmacia outside of Chicago a few years back, one of the women down in the InfoLibrary had a Karmann Ghia fully restored. Complete disassembly, repair, paint, overhaul, lots of $$$. I never saw it in person, but she showed me pictures of this gorgeous medium blue car. I've regretted not seeing it in person.

FU guys I just haven't had anything to work on the last few years. Yes when I'm at your homes...I watch...like most of you do at my place, if you even come. It's understood.

I pulled that Ghia motor in about 2 hours. From lifting the hood to on the floor. Everything is labeled and sorted. Waiting on parts, then paint and it goes back in. I will post the plans to put it back together so you guys can get your fricking cameras ready.

I'm glad I can still easily amaze all of you after so many years. :spin1:
